My Kindle! (and case)

I just bought a Kindle!!!! If you don't know what that is, it's an eReader. An electronic that holds books for reading. My kindle was $114 at Staples Office Supply.
This kindle holds up to 3,500 books!!! And it has wi-fi. To download books you buy them from the Kindle Store. A lot of the classics are free, such as Jane Austen, L. M. Montgomery, G. A. Henty, as well as random books such as The Scarlet Letter, Crime and Punishment, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and many others (I put a lot of school reading my Kindle, so that's why there are a bunch of things that I wouldn't normally read :P).

I just bought a Kindle case on ebay for $0.01 but it won't be here for a few days. OK, a lot of days. sadface.  But since I have to wait, I went ahead and made one that would just keep the kindle from getting scratched in my bag. So here it is!
I made it with material left over from a skirt that I made.
I'm really excited about it and I've been doing a lot of reading on it. =D It's a really cool device-thingy.

Clay With Gus :)

This afternoon my mom took Lydia and Moriah out to the store so Gus and I made clay! This is super easy and it's fun AND-- it kept him busy! It's really good for when you're babysitting, or you just need to keep someone occupied. :) Lydia and Moriah also have to use it as a part of history. They are going to create a map out of it and then let it harden and paint it.

Clay:

1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup water

1. Mix the salt and flour together in a bowl.
2. Add water and stir.
3. Knead until mixture is about the consistency of playdough (add water and flour as needed).
4. Add food coloring and knead until distibuted (optional)

A shoe. almost.
